Anita Henderson, 51
Anita Henderson, a 51-year-old black woman, was struck in the head and killed Thursday, Nov. 8, in the 2100 block of South Redondo Avenue in Mid-City, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Patrol officers found Henderson lying in her driveway with head trauma about 5 p.m., police said.
Los Angeles Fire Department rescue personnel responded and pronounced Henderson dead at the scene.
Authorities have yet to identify a suspect or motive for the killing. They have asked local businesses and residents for any video surveillance from the day of the crime.
Anyone with information about the killing is asked to contact LAPD homicide detectives at (213) 382-9470. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (800-222-8477).
